Bhavyesh Sajja
I am a second-year CS PhD student at NUS, jointly advised by Dr Roger Zimmermann and Dr Tan Zhi-Xuan. Recently, I was a research fellow at the Cooperative AI Research Fellowship, co-mentored by Dr Max Kleiman-Weiner and Xuan.
As agents become more autonomous and proficient, we may see the emergence of agentic economies1, 2, 3, where language agents would negotiate and execute contracts (contracting) on our behalf. My current interests lie in:
- creating computational accounts of rational contracting and benchmarking frontier language agents’ contracting capabilities, and
- developing better AI contractors that will cooperate with one another and work toward mutually beneficial outcomes, despite divergent beliefs and preferences.
My work seeks inspiration from multi-agent systems, planning and decision-making under uncertainty, and economics.
I earned my MSCS from USC, where I worked with Dr Seon Ho Kim. Before that, I graduated from NIT Delhi with a BTech in CSE, advised by Dr Anurag Singh.
In my free time, I run, lift, and take photos.
