Bhavyesh Sajja

I am a second-year CS PhD student at NUS, jointly advised by Dr Roger Zimmermann and Dr Tan Zhi-Xuan. Recently, I was a research fellow at the Cooperative AI Research Fellowship, co-mentored by Dr Max Kleiman-Weiner and Xuan.

As agents become more autonomous and proficient, we may see the emergence of agentic economies^{1, 2, 3}, where language agents would negotiate and execute contracts (contracting) on our behalf. My current interests lie in:

• creating computational accounts of rational contracting and benchmarking frontier language agents’ contracting capabilities, and
• developing better AI contractors that will cooperate with one another and work toward mutually beneficial outcomes, despite divergent beliefs and preferences.

My work seeks inspiration from multi-agent systems, planning and decision-making under uncertainty, and economics.

I earned my MSCS from USC, where I worked with Dr Seon Ho Kim. Before that, I graduated from NIT Delhi with a BTech in CSE, advised by Dr Anurag Singh.

In my free time, I run, lift, and take photos.
